    Nathan Clarke - Head Coach

Nathan started boxing at the age of 13 at his local boxing club. At 17 Nathan moved into the Martial Arts side of Combat Sport and then turned Professional at Boxing when he was 21, boxing for Fight Factory in Stoke. Nathan has had 8 professional contests, winning 5, losing 2 and drawing 1. Nathan’s biggest fight was when he fought Conor Benn at the MEN Arena on a Matchroom Boxing night, live on Sky Sports and Show Case in America.

Nathan has a number of different qualifications under his belt:

    • Level 1 & 2 England Boxing Coach
    • 10th Khan Muay Thai
    • Purple Belt CSP (Complete Self Protection)
    • Strength & Conditioning Boxing Science.

As a coach Nathan has had great success developing 3 national champions to date. One of these champions is Nathan Gorman who is now unbeaten in the professional ranks of heavyweight boxing and currently holds the WBC International Championship. Nathan has also coached 6 Merseyside and Cheshire Champions and many Box Cup Winners.

He started the Club in 2013 with his close friend and coach Joe Riley. Nathan has built the club up since then and he has now developed 11 coaches for the club going from one class with less than 10 boxers at the beginning to several classes and age groups and often 40 boxers in each. One of his biggest accomplishment is that a number of these coaches started as young (and not so young) boxers at the club and he has taught and developed them first as boxers and now as coaches. This has meant that Nathans boxing philosophy, standards and techniques are being retained and passed on throughout the whole coaching team. Nathan has a clear philosophy about how his boxers should perform both in and out of the ring and has developed a “South Cheshire” style of boxer which others in the boxing world can clearly recognise.
